Role

As the UX/UI Designer on this project, I was responsible for completing the entire design process, which involved conducting comprehensive research, crafting intuitive user experiences, and refining the final product based on iterative testing.

Research

The project commenced with an in-depth exploration of user habits, preferences, and pain points. We conducted user surveys and interviews to gain insights into the behaviours users wanted to change, laying the groundwork for understanding their needs.

Insights from research
Lack of time for cooking and planning
Lack of time for doing grocery shopping
Don’t know where to find new recipes
Don’t have a weekly planning - lack of organisation

Structure

We planned out the project by figuring out the main problem, crafting a user persona, and coming up with ideas for the solution.

Problem statement
People don’t have time to plan their meals during the week and find too difficult knowing what to cook. They want to eat healthier, save time and optimise the process.

Idea
Design and create a solution for all those users who wants to start with the forming habit of eating healthy, making this experience the easiest possible.

Product

The creative stage starts now.

User journey
I've mapped out how people would use the app, making sure it was easy to go from planning meals to shopping for groceries.

Information architecture
I've organised the app's content so it made sense to users, helping them find what they needed easily.

Solution

Mid-Fi prototype
I've made a basic version of the app, based on some research and inspiration. The main tool used was Figma, and it allowed me to test with some users and make improvements of it.

Solution

User testing
The prototype was tested a few times to understand the different behaviours of the users while using it. Some of the main findings of this process where:

- How can I have a plan automatically prepared for the whole week?
- What happens if I don't have enough time to choose day by day?

Final product
After testing and improving, came the final version of the app. It's easy to use and helps people plan meals, find recipes, and make shopping lists to eat healthier every day.
