Travelling B2B Solution

Designing a simple travel platform booking for small and medium companies.

Overview

This project is based on the creation of a Travelling B2B SaaS Web App. As it was focused on a particular action, we needed to understand how the situation was between this, what leads us to begin to think and wonder:

The act of travelling has changed in this recent time, due to the pandemic situation we had to face that has modified and changed most of the paradigms and what we were used to. Both people and companies, have had to adapt in a innovative way all the changing circumstances that we go through.

Research

The first step of the project remained on the research stage, where all the information needed to be gathered in order to develop the final product. I needed to understand the process of corporative trips between users.
Typical behaviours, how they really do this, how is the process from the beginning to the final, current frustrations and pain points they normally develop and the most important part: what they really needed?

Interviews
The research process laid on doing user interviews, to be more focused on the different information that we wanted to get, how the user is doing this action and how they feel about it.
The scope of the research was directed to organisations/companies of great size, that had things like: inventory, data entry, planning, accounting, sign up, training, etc.

Key Insights from Research
- Corporate travel has changed after the pandemic situation
- Difficulty in the process of booking corporate trips
- New teams (marketing, finance) created before COVID need to travel for knowing their working partners
- Approval corporate trips takes too much time (2-3 days)
- Most people don’t know from where to get the accurate information for travelling (requirements)
- To all the process of uploading the invoices for each trip, now you have to add checking the requirements and documents for entry to each country

Structure

With all the information gathered thanks to the research stage, I was able to start to think and even more, craft a problem, a main reason for this project.

Problem
Employees who make frequent corporate trips are tired because every time they have to travel they must resort to different platforms to get the necessary information to enter each country, as well as have all the documents updated.

Idea
Design and create a trustworthy platform for all thoose users who need to travel frequently for work, allowing them to make the experience the easiest way possible.

Product

Mid-Fi prototype

While starting to develop the product, I didn’t have much time so we skipped straight to the mid-fi prototype, creating the different screens that were going to create the platform. This decision was made in order to gain more time for developing the final product.
I knew that in the time I started doing usability testing, some changes and adjustments of the product were going to appear, so from this greyscale product was more easy to switch to the final product.

Product

Final product
After doing some rounds of usability testing, and improving thanks to the outputs, came the final version of the SAAS. It allows the users to have a profile that stores the different travel documents as the health requirements and all the information needed. Also, they can select the flights with the real time information needed in each country, and last but not least, a switch to add the tickets to their wallet.
